Piedra Trail in Southwestern Colorado is a treasure trove of beautiful rocks in all sizes…weathered over the millenia. The overwhelming variety of colors, patterns, and shapes are exquisite examples of God’s unfathomable creativity and beauty. This small rendering was built with many, many layers of cold wax, oil paint, and soft pastel dust to resemble the rocky texture.
