My original dilemma was: how to capture light in a vessel and then project that light. The truly divine adventure that has followed is commemorated here with hundreds of glass tesserae nesting in a hollowed gourd and flinging light back out to its source. The exterior of the gourd is washed with acrylic paint and enhanced with slightly embedded glass.
