The Texture of Life

Welcome to Liberty Studio!  My earliest memories of making art with my mother still bring me joy, and I hope to pass along some beauty to enrich your day. 

The beauty God created in nature, His wisdom in Scripture, and lessons offered by history motivate me to respond creatively in glass, paint, and mixed media.  Divine designs of texture, line, color, and pattern so abundant in nature constantly inspire me.  I achieve depth, texture, and interest by using a slow design process, building layer-upon-layer that mimics the pattern of how history, nature, wisdom, and our individual lives are formed.

Often, I’ll let you know in a blog post what prompted me to make the art pictured beside it.  Sometimes, along with the image of that day’s artwork, I’ll simply relay a truth that has inspired me or helped me grow.
